A lot has happened in the last year (2022). We got super busy working on some other projects and didn’t get time to continue with this blog. Now, I am trying to restart the journey of sharing our knowledge on game development in Godot, Unity and a few more game engines.
We sincerely apologize for not being regular on this blog, but what is done: is done, so instead of giving reasons on why we couldn’t, I would rather spend time on sharing what is coming up.
SPINBALL – THE SILLY GAME
I have been working on a silly 2D game created in Godot Engine, which can work as a good example project. It is still in the making, but all the source code/tutorials/dev-vlogs will be released by us for everyone to benefit and learn from.
What is the game about?
The premise is simple. There is a ball, there are some obstacles, and there are pins (like in a pinball game). The player can control the rotation of the pins to control the movement and direction of the ball to hit the obstacles. Once you have removed all obstacles, you move to the next level. If you run out of time, or the ball hits the thorns (DeadZone), the game is over.
Current Progress
The game is in internal testing mode. There are only 15 levels (as of writing of this post) but, we will keep on adding more levels as we also fix some bugs. The tutorials and dev-vlogs will be coming soon.
Approximate Timeline
The game should be out by Mid Dec, 2022 for all to play on Android (PlayStore) and PC (Itch.io) and on Apple AppStore (by Jan 2023).
Here is a short video of me playing the game. Let us know what you think in the comments section or email us.
